　　簡潔的背景，在垂直平行線條的「冷峻」，加上平整方塊水泥牆的「敦實」兩大主要元素，已構筑出空間的訊息─即理性中潛藏情感的悸動。

　　「光」是本案最費心安排的媒介，在幾何圖形的造形又無色彩的基調中，讓「光」有如炭筆般在空間揮灑，宛如素描班構成ㄧ幅幅空間畫作。

　　The Shaos’ Residence in Wenshan -- Drawings of Light

　　In a simple background two major elements stand out -- the “coldness” of the parallel vertical lines and the “sturdiness” of the walls built out of neat cement blocks. They combine to communicate a clear spatial message – thrills of emotion hidden in rationalism.

　　This project focuses on making use of “light” as a medium. Light is given free play in spaces made up of geometric shapes together with the keynote of colorlessness. Like a charcoal pencil, it draws one sketch after another.
